I got a new job. The last little hurdle cleared today (drug/background check), so I went ahead and gave my two weeks notice. I'm going to make you regret the words "more than welcome to come." I heart beach. I use a lot of Corning products in the lab, so I'm kind of paying your salary, and thus I should get certain couch privileges.

Couch shmouch, I'll have a guest bedroom you can stay in. I'll probably even get a new futon mattress that won't be awful to sleep on. Although, my couch is pretty comfy, so I wouldn't blame you if you preferred to stay there.

Hey, how's your new job going? I heard you went backpacking a while ago. Sounds fun. Well, I'm in Wales right now & will be heading to London for the weekend tmrw.

Hope you're doing well. I didn't have your email, so I figured this would go right to you anyhow.

Hey Mike! The job's going well. It's a bit more of a cubicle farm than RogCo was, but the management here is actually able to turn a profit, so that makes up for it.

North Carolina's pretty neat. Backpacking was fun, though we didn't go all the way west to the Appalachians, but stayed closer to home and hiked in the smaller Uwharries.

I liked Wales when I went. Lots of sheep and castles if I remember correctly. London was expensive, and it's probably much worse now than it was in 2001.

Also, for future reference, my e-mail is joseph dot thaler at gmail dot com.
