In what world is soda water with a squeeze of lime an acceptable holiday alternative to a cup of eggnog with a shot of rum?

I don't even like eggnog, and I know that's not a fair trade.

How about cutting out the eggnog and just having the shot of rum instead? That seems like a better trade if you're trying to limit your fat intake :)

Problem is, this just doesn't feel like winter yet. Around this time I crave the 'nog and rum, but it's all nice and sunny and warm out.
