I met Jennifer Traig today, the author of Devil In the Details. I love basically everything about her, from the sort of funny way that she talks, to the way that she is so willing to laugh at herself and her own weirdness. I love her book. Especially because she grew up in Woodland, and talks about WHS, because I really know what she's talking about. The first thing I said to her, was that her glasses were almost the same color as the inside of my glasses (light green). Later I asked if she would sign my STDs pamphlet because I didn't really have anything else that she could sign. She just looked at it for a minute, then said, "This is the coolest thing ever!" At frist she couldn't think of anything to write, but then it came to her : "Wash your hands!" Then a little bit later I asked her if she would sign my wallet because I wanted to tell her that I loved her book and especially the way it ended because a lot of books that I've read lately just end way too abruptly. She said, "Yeah, it was really hard to end a book about my life because I'm still alive." She's very funny (that wasn't really an example, though). I'm really glad I got to meet her. I want to be her pen pal, and I don't care how cheesey that sounds.
