I think I might be adjusting to the current weather; I ran out at lunchtime without a coat, and now am listening to a co-irker say, "It's getting cold, feels like snow," and I'm thinking-- Huh, didn't feel that cold me ( Read more... )

Wow. The current plan for the trim sounds great. And I really adore the fabric you got for the petticoat and sleeves.

I'm leaving in about half an hour. I got online to kill some time so that I don't go nuts waiting for my ride to show up. I'm getting a ride with Phil, because Ivan is staying in town with the kids.

I did a heavily beaded/pearled placard for a German Landsknecht dress....following the design of the fabric of the placard...I have pictures, close up pics...using one large (glass) pearl as the center on one section..with smaller pearls clustered around.

I can show you what I did...and maybe that can help? Also, I have round freshwater pearls in various shades(mostly white/pale cream), let me know if those might sound interesting...

I'd love to see pictures of what you did, it sounds lovely!

And yes, I will be at Blue Horns. Have promised to be a kitchen slave, but I'm sure I'll have time in there to dish about beading and brainstorm!
