I have a table! IKEA is wild (I had to stop for a snack halfway through the building), and I wish I had taken someone along with me for company, but it was an enormously successful trip

Must've been a different IKEA that Abby got her bed from :) The bunch of us had a good time assembling that thing, but boy, were we glad when it was over.

Heh ... yeah, a bed is more complicated than a table :) Enough of the dining set was pre-assembled that the rest of the steps were A) intuitive, and B) really easy. (And C) I love putting furniture together.)

And now I have a hex key and a flimsy but useful wrench. The inclusion of those two objects was, I think, the biggest surprise.

If the wood is soft, use placemats and it'll hopefully last longer.
