RL with Apollo- Bertie's got a husband!

Aug 03, 2008 01:21

Comfortably ensconced beneath his blankets, Bertie squirmed a little, making small, snuffling noises of contented sleepiness.  Instinctively, he cuddled up to the warm shape of a body next to him, one long leg slipping over those of his companion.  The moment was so lovely, in fact, that Bertie didn't even really mind when he found himself drifting ( Read more... )

Apollo was blissfully unaware of their predicament, that is, until Bertie shook him awake -- he shifted, a heated palm lifting to push away the insistent hands shaking him, but stopped midway, hearing the magic words:

If Jeeves finds us.

His eyes shot open, staring into the terrified blue, his expression mirroring Bertie's before softening. "Worry not, love," he smiled, gentle fingers smoothing over his mussed hair, poor thing, he was darling in the morning, wasn't he? "We won't be caught."

It never failed- the merest touch of Apollo's hand, brushing fondly over his hair, and all Bertie's fears melted away. Though to be fair, he did have good reason- there were definite perks to being married to a god, after all. He caught the hand smoothing down his hair and laid an affectionate kiss to it, grinning over at the other man.

'You are a marvel,' he murmured fondly.

Still though, the thought of Jeeves stumbling upon he and Apollo as they were sent a cold wash of fear through Bertie. He didn't think he'd be able to stand it if his valet knew precisely what sort of a man his employer was. Even if he was happily in love now and no longer a threat to the general public.

'Not that I don't trust you, old bean, but do you think you could do a bit of...?' he waggled his fingers vaguely. 'Get us out of here, don't you know.'

His smile turned a touch wicked. 'Were we elsewhere, after all, our time in bed might be spent rather more fruitfully.'

A delighted little shiver ran through Apollo at the kiss and he returned the smile almost bashfully, still flattered by the attentions this dandy of a man lavished on him.

"Mm, I could very well 'do a bit of'," he mused, warm fingers tangling in the waggling ones and squeezing. Apollo opened his mouth to say something to the 'fruitful' comment when a sound out in the hall, like the tinkle of silverware, reminding him that they didn't have much time. Grinning a little, Apollo pressed close, pinning Bertie and kissed him, willing them both back to the God's time and home in the middle of the Pacific.

When he pulled away, their surroundings couldn't have been more different, save for the same morning light shining in through the large bay window -- Apollo's bedroom was decorated with the luxuries of modernity juxtaposed with quaint, local artwork. He near purred then, leaning in for another kiss, lazier this time; no one would find them here.

Bertie hmmm'ed in the back of his throat as Apollo pulled him close and kissed him hard. Relaxing into it, he wound his arms around the other man's back, feeling the strange sensation of the bed under them changing, the air growing heavier, more fragrant, as 1928's London faded away. His eyes blinked against the bright light of the wide open room, and he laughed delightedly. He need never have feared, not really ( ... )
