King Kong was amazing. It was worth the 3 hours and 7 minutes. It was passionate, emotional and it seemed real. It had so much meaning

Ya Naomi has been one of my favs (with Patricia Clarkson, Emily Mortimer, and Catherine "proof that good actors can come from hialeah" Keener) since I saw "Mulholland Dr." like 4 or 5 years ago. Shes amazing. I do love Brody though, "Kong" may not be his best job for that much watch "The Pianist" for which he won an Oscar, making history as the youngest leading actor to win. But "Kong" was amazing! Although I agree that Jack Black sucks! and totally ruined "it was beauty that killed the beast"

Brody wasn't bad, his nose just really caught me off guard sometimes. However, I totally hated that line. I wish they would have spent a day or two more re-recording that line until he seemed somewhat sincere.

He was not supposed to have that line in the first place. Fay Wray was supposed to have it but she kicked it before they got around to filming it. Jack himself said he didn't a give a good delivery of it, and if there was one flaw in the film it's that they totally fucked up Carl Denham. In the original, he was respectful of KONG. In the remake, they made him a user and an abuser. So that's why I don't believe him when he says "It was beauty that killed the beast." No it wasn't, motherfucker, it was YOU!
I loved "King Kong" too. And I know what you mean about Adrian Brody. He's a great actor, but his nose bothers me so much! It like, distracts me. Jack Black is not a bad actor and he's great in other movies. The problem in "King Kong" is that the scriptwriters totally changed the Carl Denham character. In the original, he was respectful of Kong. In the re-make, they made it so that Carl was exploiting Kong for all he was worth, and that ruined a great many things in the movie (the last line for instance). But I think that, given the character he was playing, Jack did a good job. This is a total departure for him and he reminded me of a young Orson Welles at times. I thought he was decent.
