Berwald opened his eyes, the sun was up, but not shining this rainy gray morning. Even the skies reflected how he felt. Tino was curled up in the chair beside his bed, one hand resting on Berwald's arm. Well, he presumed that greenish blur in the red chair was Tino, he knew how that hand felt on his skin. God, what a mess his life was right now.

It helped to close his eyes and focus on the cool fingers on his face. Tino was a balm to his nerves. "I want to hold you right now so bad." Berwald almost WHIMPERED. He needed that anchor to reality that was Tino.

Rubbing vigorously he questioned. "Any better?"

The nurse came in at last with his discharge papers. Then she asked him to sign them and he laughed.
"I can't see the pen let alone the line you want me to sign. Unless you want a vague "X" on the page, Tino will have to sign for me right now." Berwald said and the nurse laughed turning to Tino.
"You can sign for him. If you're responsible for his care and feeding, That's fine." She joked handing the papers to Tino.

"I thought, before, that only family and spouses could, but I guess circumstances being what they are, I'm it." He mused handing back the clip board.
