You know those nights, where you can't sleep, where there is nothing better that you'd rather do than stand outside in the brisk cool night, staring out into the darkness, catching whatever light reflected from the full moon, you know those nights

I can relate so very well, though I'm a bit different. I'm a red fox. Thats what I am inside and I too wish to become the fox I feel so strongly within.
Thank you, this is a very inspiring essay!

It's got me thinking, that's for sure. In a good way!

Aeorfox, you and your mate inspired me from day one of my furry discovery over two years ago. I saw a pic of you two fursuiting out on the front lawn, so awsome!
Mystriana, I had such a wonderful time at MFM last year, and I'm glad we stuck together through some of it. We have a lot in common and I hope to stay in contact with you. All I can say about self discovery is you are yourself the most when you don't think about it.
Nada, you can come by any time and get a big wet nose! ;)
I hope to see everyone at MFM, to see your faces, to embrace as something more than just friends. We have a inner connection that sets us apart from other people. It's that sort of peace of mind that keeps me smiling!

Something you said to Mystriana reminded me of something I came across in my research last night:
"What is that always retreats when pursued? Answer: yourself." --Alan Watts
Don't try to pursue your true identity; it will not come when forced. Live the way that comes naturally to your innate character, and you'll find that your identity will arise on its own. That's one of the things I love about you so much, Beryl; there's nothing contrived or forced about your wolfishness. ^_^
As for MFM... you know you'll be seeing a lot of me at MFM.... XD I look forward to seeing everyone again as well!
