Here's proof that I don't learn and that I can't leave things alone... A Livejournal is like a scab; if you stop picking at it and forget it exists, you'd be better off.
I was going to send you a postcard from Alaska but I don't have an address for you... Plus, I ended up writing but not sending postcards thanks to an unexpected visit to the land of the maple leaf.
Neither have I. And judging by your recent entries, I really ought to have been. My best wishes to you and congratulations to your fiancé (after all, it wouldn't do for me to congratulate you; that would be impolite.)
I'm kind of entertained that you do this periodically... Forget about lj for months on end and then write an "I'm back post." I think I like this pattern better than the "I'm leaving the internet forever!" theme that one sees in some forums.
I will definitely do so. I really want to go to Arches properly. I happened to see the sign and squeezed two hours in though I had to be deep in Colorado that night. The consequence of my short visit was having to drive down an unlit, uncleared mountain road at night in a snowstorm... yay.)

I think people announce their allegedly-imminent departure in order to gain attention. Maybe I'm the opposite? :P

Let me know if you make it back up Portland way one of these days.
