My son is very smart

So Alex has taken to asking me if I'm better yet, if he hasn't seen me for a few hours. When he arrived home from school today he asked me again. I said I was better, but I wasn't all better. He looked at me and said "What percent are you?" I had to think a bit, then I remembered that a couple days ago I'd responded to his "are you better yet?" ( Read more... )

I was a more than a little upset and worried at first, because my breasts didn't seem that much smaller. Now that I'm 2 weeks post-op and had a chance to ask my surgeon about it all, I'm feeling much better about things. Apparently, I'm experiencing pretty normal post-op swelling and I should be down to an "average C" according to my doctor, once the swelling is gone and the healing is complete. It seems that as the incisions heal at different rates, the breast appears misshapen and kinda boxy for a while. My back and shoulders certainly feel less stressed, and I love that my breasts are perky -- something I've never experienced before. :o)
