Last night we went to the Lil Chief headquarters for a barbecue, with the Shins as the guests of honour. From the small contact I had with them, they seemed like very cool guys. The Nudie Suits and the Ruby Suns played. Fun times were had. Nice to see people and chat, I think I've been missing human contact lately as everyone seems busy busy busy ( Read more... )

Yeah they were really friendly. Can't say I struck up a conversation with any of them, but I did chat about which salads were the best and how I managed to get stuck tending to the BBQ when I was a vegetarian.

Yeah I am so so happy with it, I can't wait to get our stuff in there. I've been collecting so much cool homeware-ish stuff for the place. We have drinking glasses in all shapes and sizes in a wide rainbow selection of colours.

Yeah it will be fun, we're gonna have a flat warming but probably not until after the 21st of March because we have a monthly tenancy which auto-extends as long as we don't get complaints from noise control or totally fuck up the house.
But yes, you must come over for dinner and movies. Our flatmate Craig works at Videon so I assume we'll be showered with movies.
