Logan didn't have a plan and it bugged him. Weren't that he was big on plans - quite the opposite really. But in this case, well. Rogue's a special case. Broke his heart when she turned Brotherhood and now ( Read more... )

Rogue isn't sure this is the best idea but it's Logan and one thing he would never do is set a trap for her. Or at least, she hopes he wouldn't. She'd also thought Pyro would never betray them and look at what had happened there. But Logan wouldn't do that. She has to have faith that he wouldn't. She's lost too much to lose her trust in him too.

She sees the smoke coming from the cabin and lands nearby, cautiously scanning the grounds. Mystique didn't raise a fool, just because Logan didn't mean for it to be a trap doesn't mean someone else hasn't decided to use the opportunity.

Once she's certain no one else is around she glides towards the doorway and knocks, adjusting her coat as she waits for him to answer.

Here goes nothing.

Logan opens the door at her first knock. He'd heard her approach, his heightened senses made surprising him a terribly difficult task.

"Hey, kid," he says in greeting and nods for her to enter. He peers into the night, giving the woods a once over before closing the door behind them. Better safe than sorry and he was sorta kinda hiding a fugitive from the law.

Which is basically Monday for Logan these days.

"Want anything? Drink?"

"Not a kid, Logan. Haven't been for a long time." She's not all that sure she ever truly was a kid since she's known him.

"Ya got water? That's drinkable." Rogue looks around and shrugs, letting her hood fall down and can't help but smile. "Ya sure do know how ta pick a meetin' place." And then turns back to him. "Ya got some pitch? Cause ya might as well get that outta the way now an' if'n that's all you wanted I should just leave."

She really hopes its not but she's been learning that her hopes are usually dashed quickly. Might as well get that over with.

It's a refrain he's heard before - from her and everyone else.

"I know," he relents. "Just how I like to see it."

He nods at her to take a seat and pours her a glass of water.

"Don't go knocking the accommodations till you had the tour." He hands her the glass and sits across from her, a beer in hand for himself.

"No pitch." He shrugs. "I toldya. I want to help you." He raises a hand to waylay the inevitable argument. "No, not to break 'em out. But to see what can reasonably be done. 'Cause...you stormin' the castle alone ain't all that reasonable."
