week in review.

so this week ive been off work...
it's been spent actually having time off and relaxing - something i didn't particularly get to do over christmas new year due to being ill... so this was goodly.
haven't spent too much money aside from something i shall talk about in a while... 
so this week has seen a couple of firsts... first fully finished squad

Oddly enough I picked up a new Fender Stratocaster not three weeks ago. :) I plan to start customizing it soon!

how are you planning to customise then?

I keep expecting my wife, who loves to take random pictures of things, to catch me off-guard with a candid photo. But then again, she knows I hate having my picture taken -- so it hasn't happened.

My guitar has the black body with the white pickguard, and a rosewood fretboard.... I'm planning on swapping out the "hat" knobs with the unmarked metal dealies, like on your Telecaster, and swaping out the white pickguard for one that's brushed aluminum. >.>

Not a huge difference, but it would get rid of the OMGWHITE.

Oooooo! Red! Matches my bass guitar! Except yours is darker. I really like the shoulder strap too!

Be not fooled by appearences though over the shade of red - it is somewhat chameleonic - as it keeps changing shade for no apparant reason!
at the moment it's a lovely dark shade of crimsony red, last night though it seemed to be glowing and really bright, despite there being no change in the light levels!

The shoulder strap was gifted my way by my friend, and i really like it too! it offsets the red on the guitar wonderfully without being too showy.... tasteful and stylish!

now of course you need to post me a pic of your bass :P

i have some lemon oil already - it's a very light piece of rosewood - especially compared with say the big tanglewood or the PRS - it's a tad lighter than the Dean's as well(!), but yeah, taking care of this one is fully my intention - thanks for the heads up though!

yeah well...:P the one corner (the warhammering table) we'd not really touched in the room rearrangement..would happen to be the one in the pic.... but two people living in space really only big enough for one means mess...
