OMG!
I am so sorry mystery Author.
I've been quite sick and incredibly scattered. I could have sworn I commented on this. I came back to re-read the story though and was looking through the comments and realised I didn't have one there.

I wasn't able to read this till the 20th and then I flailed about it on my journal and somehow managed to completely fail at commenting here.

Ron thinks Harry is the best mate ever. Like, of all mates anywhere at anytime in history.

He gives Ron a sleepy, beatific smile, one that Ron cannot help but return with a smile of his own and an affectionate head scratch. “Love you, Ron.”

Can I say how excited and satisfied I am that you liked this? Very, very much so. You are one of my very favorite people on LJ, and I wanted to do my best for you. So, I took a couple of your requests and focused on Ron's reaction; I usually write Harry, but you are such a Ron girl, I decided to trot out my Ron.

He's more introspective and mature than I usually make him, but he's older in this story. He hasn't lived life on his own terms and that, I thought, would make him more bittersweet than he might have been.

No worries about not reading the story the day it was posted. I knew you were struggling with health issues, and I knew you'd read it eventually. :D Your health is the most important (*hugs* you and Ruth both). I hope you're feeling better.

Again, I am so very pleased you liked the story. I do too, which is rare for me. I like both Harry and Ron in this because it's so them. Thanks for the inspiration to write a sweet Harry/Ron story.
