I want to make at least 120 icons, participate in one challenge per fortnight, and continue to make more complex icons (i.e. text, blocking, levels etc).
How did it go?
Well... I ended up making 89 icons, so I was a fair bit off my goal, but honestly real life was busy! I'm doing honours and despite doing it part-time over two years, I found that I was so exhausted after studying that I had no energy to make icons (add on to the fact that I also had very low iron levels which didn't help either!). The fact that I was able to make nearly 90 icons is actually amazing! I also didn't manage to participate in one challenge per fortnight, but I did manage to improve my icon making skills in terms of using textures etc to make more complex icons. I did attempt to make icons using text, and having levels in my icons :)
This year's resolution:Well seeing as this year will be super busy with me completing my Honours research thesis, I'm aiming to make at least 70 icons, participate in at least one
( ... )
I want to work on my text work, complex compositions, blocking and stepping out of my comfort zone!
How did it go?
I guess I did it - kinda, I know that I did push myself to get out of my comfort zone especially with certain challenges but I feel I could still focus on things like text work and complex compositions (like blocking/levels).
This year's resolution:
The same goals that I had for this year to work more on my text work, create complex icons (blocking/levels) and to get out of my comfort zone.
→ continue making icons → start doing monthly praise posts again → comment more → change my userpics... most of them I've been using for a few years now, I need the change but I'm too lazy :D → find some new fonts, because I've been using the same 3 fonts on pretty much every icon lol
I'd actually like to get more in the social aspects of the icon community! I also want to experiment more with making icons. I think inspiration and praise posts help a lot with that.

I hope to actually make some icons in 2022 haha! I'm in the middle of a big move, but once I settle in, I want to get back into it.
