[Filtered from drones.]

[As usual, Hughes is in quite the chipper mood when he picks up the phone. He throws a compliment over his shoulder to the Pancake Lady--thus his drone wife was named, after her love for force-feeding people pancakes with her mind.]

Good morning, Mayfield~♫!

I haven't been droned, but Dist was for a while. He seemed confused when he returned.

Kimbley needs to be dealt with.

Confused? So they don't remember the time when they're droned? I'm thinking that perhaps the town has a device of some kind to drone people--like... perhaps a sort of signal to the mind. I've been wondering...

[He pauses. Shouldn't talk about it over the phone, even if the line seems safe.]

Anyway, Kimbley does need to be dealt with, I agree. I know many of us have been giving him freedom so long as he's acting nice, but... I'm worried if we wait, it will give him enough room to strike when we think he's playing innocent gentleman.

[A sigh. He's not sure what they should do with him.]

Do you have any stray ideas you're not telling the others? You seem like you're quite ready to put him down.

I was under the impression that people did. Let's keep in mind that Dist is an idiot. But I agree--this idea is worth exploring. I had a similar thought before, and I've discussed it with someone I met here.

Until Kimbley has his powers back, he's a lion without teeth. I'm not afraid of him, and none of you should be, either. But if he got away from Miles, he's got more up his sleeve--mentally--than I care to think about. I'll have him tailed by someone inconspicuous.

And as for ideas? I have many, at the moment. I'm just trying to put them together. ...I got a bit sidetracked by some things, but there is a larger issue being dealt with.

I assure you, Hughes: Envy and Kimbley are the least of our concerns.

[He nods to himself, wondering if he should ask Olivier if she would be interested in his current idea. He'd wait, though, until the situation was a little more clear.]

Kimbley's pretty sneaky, yeah.

But you're right... They are the least of our concerns...

Could you make me some throwing knives?

Oh. Sure. I have some scrap metal I keep for weapons and for my auto-mail, so I can get them to you later this week if you'd like.

That would be really helpful! I feel a little nervous walking around without anything sort of weapon.

You have no idea! I threw my back out the other day just getting this bag of toys back home. And now with a new daughter--a new older daughter--my work was pretty much useless.

But at least the other kiddies around here will have something to play with!

Things seem to change rapidly around here in regards to families.

Very much true--I woke up this morning and found myself with a new daughter! I'm waiting for a new wife any second now.

I don't trust Kimblee at all. I don't think it was just some sort of cut while trying to cook.

I'm 99 percent sure of that myself, Lieutenant. But I'm not sure what we should or shouldn't do about it. Tying him up when he hasn't done any harm yet seems a little extreme... but I wouldn't want to wait until he makes a commotion.

I'm a little tied up on the issue.

I'd feel safer around him if I had my rifle back. I have a pistol that Colonel Mustang gave to me when I arrived, but I'd still prefer to have my rifle.

I'd be able to deal with him from a distance if he did something, but we have other things to deal with first. Kimbley doesn't have his alchemy right now, so he's harmless for the most part.

Mhm, a harmless Kimbley is a happy town. A good thing to focus on is whoever's leading this place...
