Locke: *just kind of stares with his jaw just a little unhinged*

Art: *slaps an arm around his shoulder* What I believe my good friend here would like to say, but is sadly lacking in the vocabulary to do so, is that you have incredible ah..assets..that he would like to get to know better. In fact, I believe he would even go so far as to say--

Locke: Beautiful.

Art: *pauses and his head jerks to look at Locke, one eyebrow raised* Huh. Well, that's a start, I guess. Just going to have to teach you to elaborate more...

Locke: No need. *shakes his head a little, still staring*

Art: *clears his throat a little* There's always a...aw, you know what...hey...*snaps in front of his eyes a few times* At least quit staring! It's rude!

*Are the tips of Sakamae's ears sunburned, or is she blushing? At any rate, she hastily straightens up, adjusts her top and sets a hand on her hip, cocking an eyebrow at Art* I think he's doing just fine on his own. It's refreshing to hear something other than a comment on my 'assets'.

*She reaches forward to click Locke's jaw into place with her middle and forefinger* Thank you for that.

Locke: You are welcome. *smiles brightly*

Art: I'm sure you get such comments often. *smirks* Besides, women tend to like a little wooing, no? I could have been more poetic, but I long ago figured you for the direct approach, which my buddy here isn't that great at. *rubs his chin thoughtfully* But then..he did sum everything up in one word there. *shrugs* Ah well, I've always figured him either for a terribly socially handicapped individual of a very wise savant. Guess we'll see if he gets the very hot and very intelligent Japanese kitsune in the end. All I can say is that even if it isn't Locke that manages to woo the busy career fox, it better not be the rabid dog above...

*hooks an arm through Art's and drags him away* Come on, Cyrano de Bergerac. I never thought I'd say this, but he's doing well. Keep talking, and you might hurt his chances.

*Art, of all people, cockblocking! She never thought she'd see the day!*

I was helping!! Or trying to...hey, is it just me, or have you never seen her almost at a loss for words either? She's stuttering! And she's the diplomat!

This? This is why you had to be removed. Of course I noticed! But you can't point that out to her in front of him, or vice versa.

Now move, before the rest of you realizes you're on a beach and your shirt spontaneously explodes.

Well, no, it's not that I prefer 'direct' so much as 'honest' *because she can see straight through bullshit. This is both a blessing and a curse, and sometimes she is in no mood!* I--

*oh, there he goes. St.Paul-san sure does work fast*

*coughs and reaches for her towel* A-anyway, do you swim?

*nods* Yes! I like water! But...why do you need a towel before water?

*mutters* You don't, really. It's for this. *has tucked it into her top so that she's wearing a terrycloth dress rather than, you know, a string bikini* I ask because I saw you during the Rokea operation, and you appear to only know how to, um, dog paddle.

Sakamae! *claps hands together* You finally look as if you are having fun! What celebration was this, that brought such a smile to your face?

Wha--! I! I have fun!

It's hard not to enjoy yourself at the beach, isn't it?

You may have fun upon occasion, mon ami. However, I think things have been far too serious for far too long for you to open up and relax, to be able to allow yourself the fun you deserve.

We should fix this.
