so when i was getting a ride home today, they were saying the trial results from the greyhound buss murder

This isn't indicative of Canadian Law. This is just one go at it. If this were the states, the guy probably would've managed to get off with nothing.

But this way, the guy'll still have to say that he's been to court and he'll have to declare why he's been to court in a lot of situations. And while our system is definitely flawed, there are some good points to it. This is just one bad case, which is all we ever hear about in the news.

Hearing this pissed me off too. This crime is worse than just a regular stabbing. He actually decapitated the poor guy. Makes me sick.
