So I'm checking out CNN just now, and one of the headlines on the front page is: "Many still can't name Obama's religion." My reaction: Who cares? Why does knowing such a personal choice matter one iota when it comes to choosing a presidential candidate?

I'm doing pretty well. The incision is still healing. I'm hoping the swelling subsides fairly soon. It's kind of annoying that it's so slow in subsiding, considering how quickly I was able to go home from the hospital ( Read more... )

So, I thought I'd spin a little yarn.

On Monday, I got up at 5:10am with my dad. I drove us to the hospital (Swedish Medical Center, 701 E Hampden Avenue, Englewood, Colorado) and arrived shortly before 6am. I was prepped for the surgery by 7:30am. They inserted an IV into the top of my left wrist. I rolled into O.R. #11 at 7:42am. I saw the ( Read more... )

March 10, 2008 at 7:30am MDT: I will be rolling into the O.R. for my left ear cochlear implant. Everything's ready to go -- hospital & surgeon pre-op checks completed. I'll post again in a few days, once I stop sleeping most of the day & feel semi-okay, and am going to post a before/after pic & commentary. :)

It was 74 yesterday in Denver, and as I type it's snowing (a few inches, though none is keeping on the roads, thankfully) or blowing snow. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I love Colorado!

So, my new roommate moved in around 2pm today. Things are looking good. She's pretty cool. She works as an administrative assistant for Johnson & Wales University in Denver.
