I strongly suggest Blue's Clues in the near future, as well as pretty much any and all Disney movies (though I'm sure you'll stay away from the "princessy" ones...). Also, Fraggle Rock might be something he'd like as he gets a little older, as well. Go, Diego Go! is also good (he's the boy version of Dora the Explorer, though Dora might not be TOO bad for him as well), and you can get lots of Sesame Street, too.

That's all I can think of right now as far as age-appropriate movies and TV go.
