10th Doctor meets Mels
This is just a little heads up. For some reason today, I got the image that the 10th Doctor and Mels would work amazingly well together as a Tardis team. If he had no idea who she was, she would remind him a bit of Ace.
They're both a bit arrogant and heedless, both charming and reckless, and would both throw themselves full throttle into an adventure.
So what would happen if the 10th Doctor met Mels and asked her to travel with him as his Companion?
I don't want this to be an AU, so I'm still working on the details, It needs to be before the Doctor knows about River, but at a time when Mels knows about him, and it has to be at a time when she can get to him, and with the holiday season coming up...
I'm calling it "The Christmas Assassination," because it was 2005, Mels was 17, and the Prime Minister was on national TV calling for anyone who knew the Doctor....
