Original Fiction: Three Drabbles

Just three general drabbles. No fandom, just real life. :)

Dancing is inherently human.
Animals dance to communicate. Humans dance to feel.
The touch of another person’s skin on yours, the rush of emotion when you capture each other’s gazes, is something the human mind craves.
When you dance, you dance for joy, anger, or sadness. Your feelings make the ( Read more... )

I'm very bad at dancing, lol, I just like watching it. I think figure skating and dancing would be equally as dangerous, depending on the dances you were attempting. (Ballet is dangerous. Salsa dancing, not so much.) At least with figure skating the ice is right there when you get hurt! XDD

I'm okay at singing. I'll never be professional, but I don't burst eardrums. XD

And they were okay. I'm just really blocked on everything I'm "supposed" to be writing, so this is coming out instead. XD

I like the last line in the dancing piece...

I think it is just singing because we can; I annoy my mother to no end belting RENT like there's no tomorrow without a reason to do it...

I especially like the writing one; but I think that's cause the one that's the most easily relatable for me.

lol, I sing because it makes me happy.

I relate to singing and writing most, even though I wrote the dancing first. I've never been much of a dancer, but I like the way it turned out. :)

I love all three of these pieces. I dance, sing, and write, so I can relate to every piece. The last line of the dancing piece really connects to me; it's something I constantly remind myself of when I do ballet (not those exact words, but the same feel).

I like how you mentioned singing to express emotions. That's one of the main techniques we work on in my school choir: showing the musicality and emotion of a piece. Music in general can affect my mood, whether it be singing or just intrumentals.

Your piece on writing is just...basically everything I've ever thought and felt about writing. Wonderful job. :)

I'm so glad that you liked them! I don't dance myself, aside from bopping around in my room, lol, so I'm glad the dance drabble makes sense from a dancer's perspective. :)

The idea of singing makes me wonder why we came up with it. I like to think it was always something we used to express our emotions because nothing can change my mood faster than a song.

And the writing bit is straightforward, but I adore it. XD

Thank you. ♥

As paragraphs shape themselves into a story, I wonder how my writing is changing other’s thoughts, making other’s think new things.
