Graveyard, Tuesday

He caught Angelus' scent the night before, and hurried back to the crypt, to make sure Cho was all right. Didn't think of what that might mean, beyond another source of food being taken from him. But Cho had been fine, and Spike had said nothing, and just hoped that her staying there meant it qualified as her home.

This time, he sees him, striding between the markers like he bloody owns the place. So Spike loiters next to a huge marble statue of an angel, lighting up a cigarette and waiting.

Oh Spike

Angelus stopped,turning his head slightly.

"Spike." He turned to face Spike's silhouette. "I could put a restraining order up. It's creepy to stalk. Someone might think you were unsafe to be around. A little off-kilter."

Spike exhaled, a stream of smoke dissipating in the warm air.

"Guess you'd know," he said, shoving off the base of the statue. "You're the one pokin' around my neighborhood."

He was jealous. Angelus smirked, watching the vampire he at one time mentored come toward him.

"Angelus is in your neighborhood stealing your thunder. What're you gonna do about it? Be as ineffective as ever? Pout in the corner while having a fag?"

"Learned from the best," Spike said, not rising to the bait. "Seem to make a point of me bein' useless, Angelus. Bit of an inferiority complex, there? Seem to recall it's you throwin' your weight around, every time. Wouldn't want anyone to mistake you for soul-boy, after all."

"They can mistake me for who they want. Gets me closer if Angel's who they have that yen for," he said, shrugging. "What do you want, Spike?"

Spike blinked. "Not really partial to either of you," he said. "Time for that's long passed. Better question is what are you doin' in my cemetery?"

"My heart breaks." His sarcasm resounded. "Your cemetery? I didn't see your name on it." Angelus or Angel, he could always count on them turning into elementary schoolers around the blond.

"Don't usually advertise, do I?" he said. "Slayers all over the place, here. Anyway, I was here first, an' I want to know what you're doing"
