From a dark corner, though not nearly so dark his vampire eyesight was at all hindered, Spike is watching.

Well. Isn't that just precious? One day and the wanker is out with some random bird he vaguely remembers as being a bit mad on the network. Boy is a mess, Spike has to give him that. Just can't keep from fucking himself over. Spike can't exactly respect it, but it does make for frequent entertainment. He takes a swig from his bottle, and remains quiet, far enough away it's unlikely Wesley will notice him.

Bennett has no idea what to do. No idea at all. For the first moment, she's just stunned that he'd do something like that. The second, her lips start to move against his. It just hadn't quite registered in her brain what exactly was going on yet. In the meantime, Bennett moves her hand up to his shoulder. That was a good place to put it for now. Good if she decided she wanted to pull him closer or if she decided she wanted to push him away.

Wes is completely oblivious to Spike looking on. He presses the advantage, deepening the kiss, demanding more. Even though a part of him protests strenuously at his reckless actions. What about Bonnie? What about Faith?

What surpises him most, however, is the fact that Bennett hasn't instinctively flinched backwards and broken the kiss. Not yet, at least.

Bennett's never kissed anyone like this before. It was wild, slightly unhinged and fueled by liquor. But she sort of liked it This was so much different than the sweet and relatively innocent kisses she had shared with Topher.

Oh. Oh God. Topher.

Her eyes snap open and Bennett suddenly feels more nauseous than she's ever felt before in her life. Then she pushes him away from her with all her might and stares, panting a bit to catch her breath.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

He isn't surprised when Bennett finally shoves him backwards. She looks affronted and shocked, but he has no regrets. "What do you think I was doing? Applying CPR? I was just testing your theory that you don't care what I do."

Bennett slaps him. As hard as she possibly can.

"You're, you're disgusting," she growls, looking at him with pure fury in her eyes, "I have, I'm with someone and I am not going to let you interfere with that. I don't know why you've suddenly decided that I'm...that you want to-- But I don't really care. And you're an idiot for ever thinking that I'd, that I could ever--"

She makes a frustrated grunt and pushes herself out of her seat. She looks at him again and she just can't take it so. She slaps him again and then she's heading for the door.

This is becoming a regular occurrence with Bennett. It stings, but he knows he provoked her into it.

"I didn't know!" He shot back, not that it might have stopped him, the way he was feeling at the moment. "It was just a bloody kiss, anywa-"

Another slap and he's glaring back at her just as darkly. He takes a few steps and grabs on to her good arm for a moment, at the elbow. He'd care about making a scene if he wasn't as smashed as he was.

"I may have deserved the double slap this time, but you can't tell me that you didn't enjoy it. I just wanted to-- oh, never mind."

Wes says it harshly but pitched low enough that most people probably won't overhear. He abruptly releases her, knowing that he has no right to stop her from leaving. Only then does he notice a familiar shock of bleached blond hair.

Just a kiss? Kisses were a big deal to Bennett. They were something she was still getting used to. She was like a teenager in that respect so the fact that he had violated her like that, it angered her. If that wasn't obvious.

She rips her arm away from him, her glare still full of daggers. If looks could kill, Wesley definitely would have been dead by now. Bennett doesn't even have anything else to say to him. She just pushes out the door and leaves.

But part of that was because she couldn't say that she hadn't enjoyed it. She felt absolutely disgusted with herself for that fact and she wasn't going to award him the satisfaction of knowing he was right.
