Draco hadn't been invited - that was really no surprise at all - but that hadn't exactly stopped him any. After all, he had crashed Slughorn's party in sixth year; surely an open door and familiar faces wouldn't much stop him. If anything, he could play nice.

Or he could just casually nick drinks and bites of food as he casually wandered round the house he doubted he'd ever get another look inside.

Sirius was rather annoyed that Draco had showed up uninvited (at least, he assumed he hadn't been invited), but he had the perfect thing in mind for revenge.

So he walked up to him, grinning. "Malfoy! So very glad you came. I've got something for you to do."

Hey, you never know. Maybe Draco has friends.

Regardless, he did jump when he heard Sirius' voice addressing him so cheerfully - what in the hell did his cousin have in mind? "Have you now, Black?"

"I do. I don't know if you've noticed, but a rather tiny version of Snape is wandering around my house. You're going to keep an eye on him." It was a demand, not a request.

"I- Wh- Excuse me?" Draco finally managed, sputtering as he gaped at the other man. "You're kidding." He wasn't kidding; this was Sirius we were talking about.

"Nope. Not kidding," Sirius confirmed, smirking. "Slytherins ought to stick together, don't you think?"

"I think that there's no way Snape made it here alone, and that whomever he arrived with can be his bloody babysitter," he spat. So much for actually making an attempt at being nice.

"And how did you make it in here, exactly?" Sirius replied, pointedly. "I can't imagine anyone invited you."

[alphaophiuchi]

"Shows what you know." But Draco shrugged - he could lie quite easily or he could tell the truth. Or some iteration of it, at least. "The door was open. It didn't really look like you needed invitations at all."

"I hope you don't make a habit of wandering into strangers' homes and making an idiot of yourself," Sirius commented. "You might get something thrown at you."

[alphaophiuchi]

"I'm not making an idiot of myself, and anything someone throws at me will be flung right back at them. So I wouldn't even dare thinking about it, Black," Draco muttered, glaring daggers at the other man.

Sirius was thinking about it, but Remus probably wouldn't be happy if he started a food fight in the living room. "No one's thinking about it here. I'm just saying, other people might if you wandered into their houses."

"Well, I don't precisely make a habit of wandering into people's houses. It's a one-time thing," he replied snappishly. "And besides, it's not like I didn't know who lived here."
