[The relief, it's a palpable thing. Don't you dare lineface at her for being happy about this, you once again pointy eared little thing. :P
She's at work, sitting at a large desk in front of a window with a fantastic view of the city, wearing a suit and probably doing something that she should consider more important than personal calls, but she doesn't.]
Thank God.
Turn on the video?
[It's a request, yes, but if you don't she's not going to drop it.]

[Hey, there are those funky eyebrows and pointy ears she's been missing.]
Thank science doesn't really have the same ring to it. But... thank science, thank magic, thank whatever is responsible for getting you back to normal.
[She's just going to stare for a while. She is trying not to show how ridiculously relieved she is, though. That's got to count for something.]
[Careful wording choice is careful. Micro-microexpression is not pleased. Hmmmm. This is probably something she would nudge a little if they were still where they belonged. She doesn't want things to be different here. Not between them, not if they can help it.]
Do you not know what caused it, or do you not want to tell me?
[The question isn't loaded, but there are two different courses of action depending on his answer. If he doesn't know, then they need to break down his day minute by minute and try to find the new occurrence. If he knows but just doesn't want to tell her, then that would be the entirely wrong thing for her to try and do.]
I have a number of theories. [Because one is still a number.] However, I would prefer not to discuss them at this time.
[If pressed, he'll use the excuse of needing time to prove his theories correct or not. But as it isn't possible to test his only theory again, that time will never come.]
[Having a number of theories doesn't explain the discomfort, but not wanting to tell her about one or all of them does. Which, while she's not thrilled about it, is fine. The important thing is that he's back to normal. Whatever it took to get him well, he managed to stumble into it. In fact, there's really only one thing that she cares about...]
Just tell me...
It's not something bad, is it?
[Even if it is... she's not sure she'd be able to be upset over it. Which is new for her, and incredibly selfish. Spock is back, and she thinks that's probably worth whatever he had to do for it.]
[That's comforting. Uhura doesn't ask for anymore explanation. Spock doesn't want to give it, and she doesn't want to ruin the happy they've got going on right now, even if she's got way more of it than he does.
She sighs and nods her head.]
Then I'm grateful for whatever you tried or found or... whatever found you.
Does this mean you're com--
[She stops mid-sentence and looks up and over the comm tablet to someone standing presumably at the door to her office. Someone who can barely be heard telling her that the Magistrate would like to see her.]
[He's a little grateful that the sentence gets cut short because he doesn't want to give an answer to the question he's certain she was about to ask. Instead, he just gives a curt nod of his head before he's disconnecting. Just like that. :|]

"God" had little to do with this.

What did get you back to normal?

I had been returned to this form by the time I got out of bed this morning.

It isn't anything bad.
[Strange, yes. Uncomfortable, very much so. But bad? Well, it didn't harm him in any way.]

Yes. I'll be right there.
[And back to Spock now.]
I have to go.
...It's so good to see your face.
