[Once the phone turns on it illuminates the room. Everyone has a Surprise!Prophet trying to look at what time it is and then shining the phone around the room. (Apologies for motion sickness.) He's still fully dressed and extremely confused as to where he is. He knows he stumbled in really late...]
H'va.. should call'm. [He's blinking now, bleary

[kind of bleary] Spock? [Now she's squinting at Chuck, who is not Spock.]
Who the hell are you?! [That is definitely loud enough to be heard next door.]

Whoa. Uh... I'm Chuck? I take it there wasn't anything involving either of us being entangled last night. [The look of defeat: Chuck has it.]

And then the man registers, combined with Uhura's shout and her expression and he's pretty sure no entanglements of the planned variety are happening so he rushes up, snatching the blanket away the better to get at the man.]

I didn't do anything!! I ... I came here last night... [stumbling over his own feet a bit as he backs away from the bed, the woman, and the other surprise guy.]
I swear... I was lost and I was going to call my friend - and instead I woke up and was getting yelled at!

[With a glance to make sure Uhura's unharmed, Jim rounds on the intruder, pinning him against the wall with an arm. His tone is commanding, demanding an answer. No, no sympathy here.]

ERK!! [He can't really talk with the guy all up in his face like this.]
I said. I mean, I told you -- I wandered here. I was tired. I thought it was like... an empty room. I fell asleep I woke up and now I'm being accosted!
[WHERE THE HELL IS HIS ARCHANGEL???]

[He glances over at Uhura.]
You all right?

[He's not her captain, but at the moment it feels comforting to slip into the role, to pretend that he is.]
Why in God's name would you just wander into someone's room and fall asleep?
[That sounds ridiculous, and she doesn't believe him. It's pretty clear in her tone.]

I don't even know where I am! I swear, I left the hotel. There was a convention and things got a little weird. I thought, 'Hey, I'll just get some air.' and so I went for a walk.
Then I kept walking. And walking. I think I got lost and then there was civilization! I was saved, but I didn't know where I was. I just... I wasn't thinking and I was tired.

[This is not the most convincing story he's ever heard. At the same time--he doesn't seem to have done anything but enter, and the door probably wasn't even locked.]
What do you want me to do, Lieutenant?

Don't let him go.
[It's not as though it's hurting him, right? Scaring him, maybe. Turnabout is fair play. Uhura walks closer until she's right behind Kirk's shoulder and glaring at Chuck.]
So you're saying you walked into the city. [Believable.] And then into this house, up three flights of stairs, into my room, into my bed, and you didn't notice me in it? [Fucking ridiculous.]
[It's basically what Jim just said, yes, but Uhura has a final sentiment to add.]
Bullshit.

Three flights? I... I went up three flights?
[He frowns, trying to sort through it...]
I guess I thought I was at my hotel. [He's got the key in his pocket, it's for the hotel he'd been staying at and the number on the key is 312.]
I was ... I was really tired.

[Jim sighs. He could call the police, but he is the police.]
Seems like a long way to go, if you're so tired. Where is it you think you are?

I was tired. Haven't you ever done the auto-pilot thing where you drive home and then you suddenly are home but you don't remember the drive there?
I don't remember falling asleep in someone else's room and it's not like she noticed either.
I just... I want to get back to the hotel where the convention is. I have to check out and if I don't do it by noon they'll charge me for another night.
