Seems as though a large amount of people are seeing through it. Actually gives me a fair bit of hope.

And the ones who were inclined to support Harker did that anyway. Perhaps the best we can hope for is that nobody's mind gets changed at all.

The point being, of course, that it's divisive--even if it just exacerbates existing tensions, it's an escalation.
