He's alive, and if you're going to yell at me I don't have the time or the patience for it right now.

I did what I thought was right based on the information I had. He was dying. The power corrupting his soul was corrupting his brain, and I'm pretty sure I know what was coming next. I couldn't just watch it happen. And I'd do it again, even if I didn't know it would work.

[Said in a bit of a rush, but if someone did something like this to Spock and she didn't understand it, she'd probably yell. Just because she's expecting it doesn't mean she wants it.]

I don't yell, Uhura.

But you should never have used the tech without consulting me. Whether or not you believed it best for Tony, there are larger concerns, and larger matters at stake.

I suggested we imprint you to ask your permission. Owen didn't want to, and to be quite honest, Tony didn't have the time.

With all due respect, hindsight is always twenty-twenty.

And hindsight will leave you better able to deal with this sort of problem in the future.

My point is, it's done. If you have advice or help to offer for what's to come, I'll take it and be grateful for it, but anything else doesn't do either of us any good.

For Tony's sake, I need to be at my best. I can't do that if I'm defending my decisions. That's not how command works, and I'm not very good at it to begin with. But I did what I thought was right. I'd do it again if it came to it.

[He needs to know that. He needs to know that, whether or not he agrees with her, she'll stick to her guns.]
