There is a vampire who is newly arrived to Bete Noire, called Angelus. He is extremely dangerous and manipulative and not to be approached for any reason if you value your safety. Use caution if having to be out on the streets at night. Carry a crucifix or cross and holy water with you at all times if you can. Do not, under any circumstances, ( Read more... )

[Yes, she's been stalking your posts. Cause maybe you're kind of friends now. You deal with a doll, too.]

Couldn't we just make sure no one invites him in? Or does that rule not apply to him?

[It's a genuine question. Uhura had no experience with vampires before she came to Bete Noire, she's not sure what rules and limitations are common to all universes and which are world-specific.]

That would work in terms of having shelter from him should he come to the mansion. However, since it's essentially a hotel, he will be able to walk through the more public areas and corridors. I was hoping to think of ways to make them safer.

You do what you need to do. Any help you need with Delta, you have it.

[Why yes, you did in fact just become one of her people. Mostly because your new top priority is taking care of her other people.]

It functions largely like a hotel, but it is still technically a home. Is there any way we could alter our behaviour or something we could have Benjamin do to make it more like a private home for the purposes of vampires?

Thank you, I appreciate it.

I don't know. In the past it's been problematic for us. Hotels, hostels, motels and the like do not have the same conditions for some reason. However, private rooms will keep him out.

It might be for the best that I find somewhere else to stay until this matter can be resolved. I don't want to bring any trouble down on you all.

This is the closest thing most of us have to a home here. We're not going to let him run any of us off. That includes you.

[Protective instincts what now?]

What about consecrated ground? I'm sure we could find someone to bless the house. Would that keep him out?

Unfortunately no. Vampires from my world don't have much problem with hallowed ground. However, having a lot of holy water handy might be good. It acts like an acid.

Uhura, I appreciate the sentiment, but the best thing I can do is sever all the ties that I can. That way he won't be able to use any of you against me or the others who will be trying to apprehend him. As much as I don't want to leave the mansion, it really does seem the most prudent action to take. At least for the meantime.

[She doesn't like no win scenarios, but she also respects a situation where someone's just gotta do what they've gotta do.]

Be careful.
