[She's not sure she knows what to do with this. She's so happy to see him, and there's a ridiculous amount of guilt attached to that. Because he doesn't want to be here, and he doesn't belong here. He actually made it home.]

[His expression softens just slightly. While he may have last seen her a matter of minutes ago, he knows it isn't the same in return, so he knows he has to play it carefully. He didn't leave at the best of times as it was.]

[Because he doesn't want to be here. None of them really want to be here, but Spock had been all about getting back to the ship, more so than any of the others. And he'd made it. And now he's stuck again, in a circumstance he absolutely does not want to be any part of.]
