As for the superbastards, well, most of the people I've got toe to talon with in the past have been bastards with superpowers. The nickname kinda stuck.

Normally I'm all fun and games. It's been a rough few months in my universe though, what with the apocalypse and all.

Talking of universes, I don't suppose you could tell me where I am? Just tell me I'm not in a version of London. It didn't go too well last time I was there.

Yeah, been through a few of those. Bloody nuisance. Anyway, not London, I know that much. Place called Bete Noire, and story goes, it's not anywhere you can reach the normal way.

Not that anyone's let on. Sometimes people disappear, but seems to be random.

Well I can be dangerous if provoked, but I'll keep it in mind. Of course an attempted stoning would be an interesting change from people trying to shoot me, stab me or spit on me.

Well there's likely that, too. And of course you can be dangerous, but there's gettin' shit for actually doin' stuff an' having a whole city out to get you. Just sayin'.

You're telling me. Okay, so maybe we could be a bit violent in taking out the bastards, but they're the ones gonna enslave/slaughter/mutilate the civilians. They don't exactly deserve a slap on the wrists and a letter home telling them not to do it again.

And we're the ones who get looked at like we kicked a pregnant dog nursing a litter of kittens.
