they've recently been on a 16hrs-out/8hrs-in schedule. now they're changing to a 20hrs-out/4hrs-in schedule.

20 hours out on their feet or in the stryker.

4 hours of personal time for sleep, food, and hygiene.

that's seriously fucked up.

graduation weekend was loooads of fun. my parents, angie, danny (her husband), and paul all came out for the weekend. and everybody else's families were out too. it was just a big joyous bash of celebrating school completion.

just found out that all the 'gloriousness' that camp taji seemed to be in the previous post, is really not so glorious. it's huge, yes. but they don't have hot showers and the free internet and phone stuff is true but there's usually at least an hour and a half - long wait to use them. keep in mind that the place w/ that stuff is miles away from ( Read more... )

The quality of life at Camp Taji gets better every day. The Camp now has the Largest PX in Iraq , which has a Subway, Burger King and Pizza Hut. They also have a newly built dining facility, which is three times larger and the food selection is unbelievable.
