for immediate death, not a long term remedy, we've been using windex. the ammonia dissolved their lil exoskeletons

stronges cleaning product in my house is vinegar. 8-( I miss 409 terribly.

i use boric acid and vingear it sounds icky but it makes them retreat. good luck sweetie

OK- I have boric acid & vinegar. Is this OK to use around cats? Do you mix them together? I am ready to go crazy.

We use a professional exterminator. He kills our beastie's with a powder (maybe boric acid, maybe not) which he periodically sprinkled in our attic and around the perimeter of our house. It doesn't go airborne. The nasties have to come into contact with the powder to be affected by it. The pro has sworn on a stack of bibles that it will not harm the birds. Mr. and Ms. Thing seem to be doing fine, although we have been using the exterminator for at least three years.

Just sayin'.
