Thanks! It's great to get to read this story at last.
I've always been intrigued by the question of what would have happened at various points in Buffyverse history if Dawn had really been there, and what false memories the gang may have about her in those early years. Thanks for tackling one of the many points where a little sister might have gotten in the way - and where much potentially-fatal trouble might have followed.

I'm just sorry I didn't realize you were *trying* to read it and
couldn't. I thought the lack of comments meant it was so awful no
one dared say anything, lol...me has written some majorly slushy stuff at times!

It's so strange to think of what false memories would have done with Dawn to still allow her to fit seamlessly into a future that is set. Neat look at how Dawn would have fit into the Angelus arc, and his comment about comparing them? Truly creepy. Very Angelus.

Thank you! Yes, this was tricky. We know Angel *does* get his soul
back, but I had a hard time imagining Buffy being as willing to risk
*everything* on that if Dawn was in the picture. Joyce is at least an
adult(and not bad with an ax!) So she might be somewhat conflicted.
