A few weeks before we left I stopped by where Stephen was working and met his coworker and friend Randall. Stephen worked in the office of a place that makes custom frames for artwork. I think our bodies are rebelling against the endless hours on the road. It has been absolutely, amazingly worth it. But man am I exhausted. We have travelled 3200 miles in 7 days. That's roughly 53 hours of driving. Out of 168 hours. That's one third of our week spent in the truck. And we took one day off from travelling. Whew ( Read more... )

We are finally settled into a temporary place in Huntington Beach. I have been so exhausted at the end of each day that I haven't been able to work on the photos or write anything. We arrived in Tulsa in the late evening and found Brian's house with only a few missteps. Stephen and Brian knew each other through the art world in New York and have been good friends for a while.
