Okay, so lately I've gotten more into myspace than this, my apologies. Umm, last night= movie night-- getting marked by fabric markers via Ben, seeing John naked for like the, well, not the first time I'll say... Uhh, getting chased by the cops and just generally rolling as we do.

Today I went over to John's to get my phone I left last night in ( Read more... )

Yeah, Fassler was a bitch. To alot of people. She was one of the first teachers i ever heard say to someone "maybe you should just give up and go home". She was the only one i've ever seen who made kids stand up and call them worthless. And don't you dare tell me it didn't happen, because it did, and i never forget the affect it had on those guys. No matter if it was the truth or not, she as a teacher should never just give up on her students like that. She treated me well because she knew my potential, and i appreciate that. But no teacher should ever say the things she said to those guys... true or not. It's a service position. I have to put up with shitty customers where i work, its like that anywhere you go. She got better as the years went on. After her first year she must have got alot of shit, or maybe she just realised what was wrong, cause alot changed. She finally got back to where she could look at me and smile sincerely, and i could eventually return the sincere smile. She had a great ciriculum, and i missed out on most of ( ... )

I wasn't around for your class. Her doing that is wrong, I agree. I took her class when she didn't do that. What she did do was teach me a lot more than I can say for most other teachers. My criticism is not of the people who have reason to dislike her, ie the people in your class. My criticism is of the one's in my class or the ones below who simply think it's cool to be ignorant. I know you, Alf, and I know that's not your viewpoint, so don't take this as something pointed to you, which I'm sure you're not.

It may have been mean, but I think that some people are just like that. Blunt.. and use negative reinforcement. and I'm all for that. People shouldn't be handed things in their lives. They should have to work for it. She was only trying to push them I bet. Not to leave, but to actually SEE what they were doing so wrong. If I'm a teacher.. that were going to teach high school students I'd have to say that I'd be a little like that too. Students at our school are pathetic. They don't work hard enough. They don't get the future they COULD have by doing so. Then they give up because whats the point in going further? If you take a look, most the people who have graduated from Unity will have that quality about them.. they could've been something.. but chose to just forget it.

I liked Fassler a lot. We were her first class. She may have been very blunt and down right negative sometimes, but she was good all in all. Now look what they're stuck with. Eisenmenger.. and Cheatum. Well. and Tilford. But still.. that school NEEDS HELP!

Sorry if that came off a bit rash. The point was, everyone has a different side of the story. But again, i agree with you that no one should be thankful that they aren't gonna have fassler, cuz there's really no reason anymore.
