So - I've been reading Tristan (famous old love story of Tristan and Isolde) for Medieval Studies, which I'll be taking next semester. And I'm not sure I really buy into the whole thing. Well, you see, love potions are very powerful. Doubly so if they occured between AD 1200 and AD 1500.

Also, I don't really know much about this "famous" story so I can't really make any sort of worthwhile comment.

sorry - about five seconds after I posted this I realized it was going to be an obnoxious, nerdy post. And that no one else could really relate to this kind of frustration (Why, Gottfried? Why?). Oh well!

You should consider "The End of the Affair" by Graham Greene. Also tragic, but more twisted... Sometimes I wonder how conscious he is of the characters he creates...
