whew, it's been busy here. and hot, too.
~ birthday! My birthday was pretty fun. I did have to work but it wasn't too bad of a day. C took me to dinner at Revolver, which was AMAZING. The end of the day was kind of hurried, but when I showed up, he was waiting there with a smile (aww) and a plate of heirloom tomatoes! Who could ask for more! ( Read more... )

2. Revolver sounds wonderful and I'm totally jealous I don't have anyplace as wonderful near me!
3. Erin Flannery and I decided last week to train for a 5K! There must be something in the air! We're both sort of doing the Couch to 5K too. And we're both also completely intimidated!

2. Revolver IS wonderful - and I'm pretty thrilled that we have something like that in rural northwest Ohio! Of course, you have awesome "big city" places not too far away, right?
3. Good luck to you and EF! I found a pretty cool nutrition/exercise/weight loss internet tool at sparkpeople.com - it's keeping me honest on my exercise and food intake, that's for sure. You guys might like it to track your workouts, at least. Or not...

Pictures from housewarming? or just pictures of the house? Cause I haven't even seen housewarming pictures. I'm glad you had a good visit with Mitzi (at least from her report!) - and I love dahlias - your pics were so pretty.
C says the band has reached "Critical mass" - there are now enough people (50) that it seems like a "big" band. We'll see how they sound today!

Good luck with the running - yay for you guys, for doing something like that! I don't even think I could walk 5K, much less run it, so I'll be cheering you on... from over here, in my wingback chair, drinking a 'rita or something :-). Hee!

the running is going well so far. we did day 1 of week 2 yesterday, and it wasn't too bad. Also, I've lost 2.5 pounds since last week!
I think I am addicted to farmer's markets. At least that is a better addiction than some I could have chosen, I suppose...
Cornhole is a great game, don't knock it! :)

It really is a great place. Tiny, though, so you definitely need a reservation. It's worth the drive from Toledo if you are ever up there.
Thanks for the running encouragement too. We just did Day 2 of Week 3 yesterday. So far, so good!
