I'm living elsewhere on the internet most of the time now, although if I'm being completely honest, I have to say I burned out on social media and constant connection so I've been offline more the past few months than I've ever been before.

the sad thing about the elsewheres of social media is that you're writing on soap bubbles. only here can you come back and see who you were five years ago and figure out if you're going in the right direction.

Very true. I keep trying to get myself to focus the energy I do spend on online-connectedness either here or on my own site, but it's been difficult. I'm not sure why.

The thing about LJ is that it's always the thing I come back to, even though looking at the me of five years ago is sometimes exhausting. Jeez, times were so DRAMATIC when I was in college.
