Today is my 30th birthday. I've started to write this blog a few times (well, mostly in my head) but haven't quite found the way to say what I want to say. I still haven't, but time's up so this is what you get. It's better than draft #1, which was a list of all the famous people I've now outlived

Happy Birthday! I've been meaning to reply to your last two, beautiful posts, especially the one about the photos of other people...I still want to do that, but in the meantime, I wanted to say happy 30th. You are right--we are all trying to figure things out, no matter how many birthdays have gone by. Also, I think that all the ages you have been and all the people you once were and once dreamed of being are inside you still, even as you evolve and grow and figure things out and be the very best you can be. Which is, I think, pretty cool.
