It's your art, you get to decide.
Making the art can be more important, than sharing it.

The more you do something, the better you get at it.
Keep writing fiction, if that is a good path for you.

Anything put out there, Internet or not, can be found by people who dislike it.
Many of them have to go beyond healthy criticism to be mean.

Pseudonyms are available.

I'm looking forward to reading it, if & when it's out.

But you know all that -len

It's always great to see a post from you. You're a great writer and I, for one, would love to read any book you release. I'm kind of at a point right now where I've had my own livejournal for a comparable amount of time as you have and I have not put out a single tangible work of fiction in more years than I can count. So, I can relate to this post in so many ways - don't give up on your novel. I'm sure it's not garbage. :)

That is AMAZING.

I, too, get terrified about releasing my writing into the world. Sooooooooooo, I don't tend to. I have 10 years of NaNoWriMo stuff on my computer, tucked away very prettily and chances are slim to none that anyone will ever read any of those (beyond friends who may already have done so).

My father (and mother) certainly will not! ;)

I am thrilled for you and I love that you've undertaken this amazing adventure and I can't wait to read it. I promise not to think it's autobiographical. :)

You can do this and I am so terribly proud of you for all you've done thus far and all you'll do going forward. :)

It sounds absolutely brilliant--and like something I would read--to me.

When someone, especially an artist, shows us their secret dark places, it makes us love them more.

Love!
