i love my job so much that a couple of days a week, several times in the day, i talk myself out of quitting. i know at some point i will be doing more exciting things like redesigning their website and playing with new photo equipment but for now i'm still working on this bullshit project that has been passed down to me. eh.. it could be worse i ( Read more... )

I just dreamed I got tattoos (yes, more than one)! That's crazy! The ones I got were really big and indiscreet though, so when I woke up I was really mad at myself for doing it. And then I remembered it was just a dream so it was all good.

I'm sorry your job sucks ass. Are there any freelance projects that you're working on too?

yeah sort of. more like jobs for friends that i'm doing for free. but it is much more enjoyable than the day job.

Y'know, if your job isn't doing it for you and you have other options, I'd say go for it. Staying with a place that isn't doing it for you (like I'm doing) will result in being dissatisfied and still not gaining new skills/experiences. I haven't found a new job yet, but I look all the time. Personally, I'd kinda be happy job hopping every year or two. If there's other shit out there, check it out. Also, hang out with me sometime. :)

I've thought about it, and i'm gonna give it another few weeks. My boss talked to me the other day and things started to make sense. She doesn't really ever talk to me so it was nice to hear some feedback and plans. I figure I'll stay until I've redesigned their site and then I'll totally leave. I don't want to leave without anything to put in my 'folio yo!

But yeah... I'm gonna be really picky with my next job b/c then I'll have enough experience to be able to be. woo!

Yeah we should all hang out soon!

You could always job-shop whilst still working for the same place...

I've been wanting to get a tatoo too. I actually want to get Mary somewhere on my body. After bouncing around bunches of different ideas and always changing my mind I decided to get her b/c I know I'll always love her.

Hey, maybe we can both get Kevin to tatoo us together this summer! That would be awesome.
