as a former employee, i am laughing as i write this....why not just complain directly? i am being serious, as funny as the notion is at first thought. if you act like an adult you just MIGHT get treated like an adult.
My usual experience is that the staff are only asses if you behave poorly. The only time I've been treated badly was when my stupid friends were standing on the booth seats. Which is totally understandable.
It sounds to me that apparently making an ass of yourself in public wasn't quite enough for your satisfaction, you felt the need to recount your display of stupidity on the interweb. Good for you!
While you were rubbing your thumb on that "fat turd's" chin he'd be busy stomping your whiny little guts out. Here's an idea; don't go to restaurants and act like a jackass and you might not get treated like a fool.
ur right! Deal with it U fucks!

well you people, yes, you. this place sucks, apparantly they make big omelettes. wow....... i can do that at home, well i get the same fucking service there too(none). i manage a restaurant, and have never complained at a restaurant until today, a small surprise, when i actually did complain, the manager told me that i was an asshole.... i apologize now, to the server that is, for waiting literally a half hour for service(yeah, thats after the first fifteeen minutes when i told them i was trying to get service.) i have never understood bloggers that trash restaurants, until today, your establishment is the absolute worst i have ever been in. i hope your servers, and managers realize that this is a very hard economy to grow business during. so hopefully you can change your line of thought soon, because the travel channel cannot sustain you for much longer. thanks for listening.

I'm with you!! I went in this past Saturday evening around 10 PM to meet two people who had travelled here from Georgia and specifically wanted to go to Beth's, as they had been there years ago on another visit. They did not know I was coming so were seated and had just gotten their food when I arrived. They were seated at a booth for four (as that is basically all Beth's has). I asked the "waitress" for a menu and she refused, saying there was a "no joiner" policy on the weekend. I thought she was kidding as I have (nor anyone I've spoken to since) has ever heard of something so nonsensical! She went about her duties completely ignoring me, except for the occasional sneer and nasty look in my direction. The guy in the booth next to me said he had been refused service because he was in the restroom when she came and took the other members of his table's order - so three of them were served and he was not (although they did give him a milkshake, somehow.) I asked another waitress what the deal was and she reiterated this "no

So when you left, did you hail a cab or just take the waaaaaaaambulance home?
You don't like it, don't go back. Plenty of us do, indicated by the 55 years they've been open. And guess what? There are still hour long lines every weekend. So I'm sorry you ran out of tampons and decided to bleed all over the (aforementioned) FAN SITE about your bad experience, but guess what? No one here gives a shit.
P.S. I'll let them know they've lost two customers when I go there tonight.

WOW!! My son is here visiting from CA and wanted to go to Beth's after seeing it on the travel channel. Now I am wondering if it is a place I really want to go to. Why is everyone so rude there? Times are tough, alot of "cafe's" resturant's are trying to make it these days. It just strikes me funny that employee's of such a resturant would be allowed to treat customers in this manner. WHY is that?? Is the food that good that one want's to be treated in such a manner? SO many place's to eat... I think I will pass on Beth's unless someone can give me a reason to go other than being treated like crap. Thanks
