Had the sonogram on Thursday- and it's a boy!!   The sonographer said that she usually waits until the end of the sonogram to tell the couple what they're having, but our little guy was flaunting his stuff so she told us early! Everything looked great- 2 arms, 2 legs, spine, brain & heart all looked great- yay! Due date is July 27th. We are so ( Read more... )

Thanks, Jess! *hugs back* I'm sure we'll be able to come up with a name we both like eventually! One of my sci-fi buddies suggested Daniel Rodney Sheppard- LOL :)

Oh, cuteness! Congratulations!

Plus, now that we know it's a boy, I think my quest to make him like science fiction will be a lot easier :)

Well, I don't know about that, though. I mean, my parents didn't seem to have any problem ;)

Gonna make a sonogram icon? :D

LOL, I'm not really sure how I turned out to be such a sci-fi fan- neither one of my parents were fans at all! Oh well. Hey look, I DID make a sonogram icon :) Thanks for the congrats!

Belated congratulations, Beth! Funny thing -- I actually suggested the name Evan Joseph to my sister in law before their son was born, but they decided on KYLE Joseph instead. Apparently Joseph HAD to be the middle name to honor her father. Oh, well..... if I have a girl, I want her middle name to be Rae, in honor of my father (Raymond, AKA Ray.) I figure, it's the least I can do since my dad was the last of his line and he had two girls, so the family name died with our births. Anyway... congratulations, and I hope your MS stays in remission, too! Though, I've read that if it's inactive during the pregnancy, there's less of a chance of a relapse afterwards, and breastfeeding can help ward it off, too since your body doesn't quite realize it's not pregnant anymore... or something like that. It's all so confusing... stupid MS...

Thanks, Jen! Yeah, my hubby's name is Joseph (he goes by Joe), so we wanted to use that for a middle name. We're just arguing over first names, now! Hayden Joseph was a front-runner for a bit, but it seems that Hayden is becoming a popular girls name these days (I blame the "Heroes" actress!), so we probably aren't going with that, either. Colin Joseph and Owen Joseph are both still in the running...I just have to convince him that Owen isn't from Torchwood ;)
I sure hope my MS stays in remission- I'm worried that I'm getting used to it that way! I do plan on breastfeeding, so hopefully that will help extend my symptom-free period. Stupid MS is right...
Hope you're doing well! I made an icon from one of my sonogram pics- my poor child isn't even born yet and he's on the internet :)
