All I want is to find someone to care for who truly cares for me also. Someone who is self-aware enough to know what they feel and has enough decency to be honest about it. Is that too much to ask ( Read more... )

I guess mine would read "Fangurl in Angst hoping for her Happy Anything"... or something like that... lmao. And no, it's not too much too ask. Heck, I'm all those things. LoL.

Ah yes, the age old philosophy of "better safe than sorry". I suppose you're looking for commitment then?

Of course. A relationship that doesn't lead to commitment could be a learning experience, but it's certainly not what I would aim for.

Charm is most certainly over-rated, but...good men are hard to find.

Ah, I know the feeling... I truly care for you, but I'm sure it's not in the way you're looking for. LOL!

As belladonna said, true, good men are rare in this day and age. And most of charm is superficial, anyways. You have to see a person's heart and be charmed by it for things to last. Goodness, I could go on and on, but I should be doing my o-chem lab. :P

I would HIGHLY suggest that you read Authentic Beauty, by Leslie Ludy, and I Kissed Dating Goodbye, by Joshua Harris. I've got a private blog babbling about AB and love/world/faith-related issues, if you want me to send you a few entries. If you read the book, that is, otherwise it'll be pretty random...

As for IKDG I don't necessarily endorse chopping dating out of your life - that's probably too drastic, but it has a TON of good advice on building relationships properly and keeping yourself pure for the one you will marry. I think I overdosed on these types of books over winter vacation, so my advice is fresh ( ... )

I'll look up Authentic Beauty on amazon.com some time. I'll look up I Kissed Dating Goodbye also, but I don't intend on actually kissing it goodbye on purpose. lol.

I make too many blogs, I know. hehe. The other one is different, though. It's like a newsletter aimed mostly at friends and family who I don't have much contact with, especially those who don't come to my LJ or MySpace or anything.
