I'm in bad mood now:/ I just got back from a doctor and my eyesight is worse again and it's really bad already. I'm scared one day i will be completely blind. And i can't wear contacts. I was hoping i could, so i would feel more comfortable at swimmingpool or by the sea, but the doctor said i shouldn't. And i've always dreamt about sunglasses... It

ja nosze okulary od 7 roku zycia i już wtedy było wiadome, ze mam taką wadę, gdzie wzork sie wciąż pogarsza do jakiegoś tam wieku, nic nie można z tym zrobić:( Mam tylko nadzieję, ze niedługo przestanie sie pogarszać.
i wiesz, ja nawet wolę siebie w okularach niż bez, pewnie też kwesta przyzwyczajenia, ale czuję się strasznie niekomfortowo, gdy chce isc na basen albo na plażę, bo bez okularów słabo bardzo widze i nie wiedziałabym, czy ktoś do mnie macha cyz patrzy się na mnie. Czuję się wtedy taka bezradna.
Moi rodzice chcą spróbowac znależc taka klinikę, gdzie chirurgicznie wzrok się naprawia, dużo ich znajomych już tak robiło, ale ja mam taka trochę inna wadę,d latego nie moge miec soczewek na przykład, więc jeszcze nie wiem, czy to będzie możliwe.

Aww I'm sorry about your sight getting worse =\ And that you can't wear contacts. Is there no kind you could wear? You're not silly, I can totally understand that you're disappointed. I cried for days when I got glasses I can't imagine not wearing contacts now.

The doctor said it very unlikely i would feel ok wearing contacs. :( My parents want to find some clinic so i could have an operation, which could help me see good. but with my failure maybe it's not possible or i'm still too young. We have to check this out.

i hope it'll turn out you're young enough to have this "surgery". moreover, i'm even sure your eyesight will "feel" better someday. you know what? my dad also wears glasses and when he was in our age he had similar problems too. someday it stopped getting worse. maybe God decided it's bad enough, hah :).
anyway, you ought to think positively and i'll keep my fingers crossed ;*.

I'm sorry about your eye, that sucks. eye problems suck :(.It is NOT silly you crying about this. Is there anyway you can wear contacts? Try not think you may be blind one day because you don't know if you will. I hope you won't!

I asked today if i could wear contacts, but teh doctor said that with my failure it's rather unlikely. Maybe my eyes would hurt or something.
It just sucks taht my failure is progressing, and i see worse and worse, but it should stop when i'm 20 or soemthing. I hope it will. Plus my parents are looking for a clinic, os i could have a surgery and i wouldn't need glasses OR contacts for that matter. But i think i heard you ahve to be 21 to do this surgery, so maybe i have to wait few more years. i don't feel bad wearing glasses. It's normal and i like msyelf in glasses. teh thing is i feel so helpless and uncomfortable without them, when i want to swoim or something...

What does the doctor mean by your failure? I don't understand or is it too personal?
That sounds cool there is a sugery you can have so you don't have to wear glasses or contrats. Do you know anything about that sugery or no?

It's not personal. it's just taht i don't have a regular failure, but something more rare, that's why i can't wear contacts.
i know that it's safe, and many people do it. I jsut don't knwo if they can help me, and if i'm not too young.
