And you were expecting something different? [His tone is wryly non-amused and his accompanying chuckle humorless and brief.] I would expect better from you, principe.

Apparently it might lead to something "nice" and "shiny." One can't know until one tries.

Joining the party, old man? [Sorry Giovanni he just likes picking on you as you can tell he's not the brightest crayon in the box]

Perhaps. [At least he's not not talking to him; Giovanni sees this as simply an opportunity. This guy somehow got Kadaj's good side so one more dull crayon isn't going to hurt him much. Hopefully.]

Perhaps, hunh. C'mon now. Ain't this your big duty? There's innocents who need a-helping! [You may want to rethink that opinion Giovanni fff though Seifer wouldn't be talking to him if he thought Giovanni were worthless loool the only thing that might get hurt is his pride, Seifer's got some control at least]

Not everyone here is an innocent. [have a thoughtful pause though after that retort] But I did not say that I was entirely ignoring the events. I am more suited for subtly than grand-standing. ...remember? [...well, maybe it's not an opportunity right this second...but in the future he can possibly use it to his advantage. for helping. totally for helping Seifer. Yeah. Yeah, he sees that now. You just had to rub his feathers the wrong way, didn't you?]

'Here we go again' seems to be a good phrase for it

I have not been here for as long as some, but I would still agree.

How similar to this have their previous escapades been so far?
