Books, books, books!

Went to the Lifeline Bookfest (massive secondhand book sale in the convention centre) this afternoon with ittykat, katrina_splat, zenni, and sir_cumspect. For a grand total of $42 I acquired the following:

Driving Blind by Ray Bradbury
High Society by Ben Elton
The Lady and the Unicorn by Isolde Martin
Son of the Shadows by Juliet Marillier

so tempted but you know these things involve money. we're kind of buying a car. and paying rent. and bills. and on a limited budget. and trying to save through all that. and i ahem didnt buy a book and two shirts and black suspenders and a bright red bow tie at big w this week

Yay for non-existent bright red bow ties :)

I didn't mean to spend that much. But I'm still rather proud of the number of books I picked up, went 'oooh!', and put back down.

*is jealous* I love the Lifeline Bookfest. Ah well. I was freezing in Ottawa at the time you were wandering around there. I suppose I'll accept the trade-off.

Hehe, would help you feel better to know that I came away poorer by about $60, but richer by a shopping bag full of books? finished the malloreon, added to my anne mccaffery, a tolkein, a mercedes lackey, a charles de lint... I was happy :)

yeah :D Into the Green by de Lint and The Wizard of London by Mackey, really good! I love both authors so much!

I did, and I'm osrry I havent replied - have been sick, as well as work busy- and I wasnt sure what my plans would be, and while it sounds great, am still not sure. esp as I now have to housesit and be around home to look after the animals. will let you know if i can as soon as possible!
